Logan Group's "Chosen One": A Harmonious Blend of Art and Nature

Golden A' Design Award Winner Transforms Landscape Design with Dewdrop Inspiration

The "Chosen One" project is located in the heart of Wuxiang New District, a model of urban planning and ecological city design. The design's unique properties include a "dew-drop sculpture" at the entrance, which seamlessly connects the inside and outside of the space, embodying the artistic concept of "no-boundary." At night, the sculpture's rippling light enhances the landmark entrance, making it a distinctive feature of the district.

Logan Group's design team, including Huihui Wang, Xunfu Deng, Ni Peng, and Yanting Du, utilized black and white marble to create a wall that extends horizontally, enhancing the sense of quality and visibility. This design choice contributes to the space's noble and luxurious atmosphere. The project, which covers a total of 9896 square meters, was completed in July 2020 after a year-long process.

The design's interactive elements include a transparent showcase at the end of the corridor, housing vortex-shaped installations. These installations, described as "gifts captured from nature," bring art and life closer together. The final space is an outdoor chatting area, enclosed by high and low wooden platforms and green plants, providing a quiet and independent space for meetings, communication, and meditation.

One of the design's challenges was creating a light and shadow corridor that forms a clear walking path. The design team achieved this by using a continuous aperture to create a three-dimensional immersive space, offering a dynamic and flowing visual experience for pedestrians. The corridor wall is consciously inclined, allowing external light and shadow to gradually leak into the interior.

The "Chosen One" project is a testament to Logan Group's innovative approach to landscape design. The artistic front yard, the light and shadow corridor, the dewdrop sculpture, and the mirrored waterscape all contribute to an immersive and wonderful space experience.
